ULTRAVIOLET SYSTEMS

Disinfection with Ultraviolet Systems is the process of neutralizing microorganisms. Thanks to the ultraviolet lamp, the dose of UV BEAM is given to the water entering the device. These ultraviolet rays disrupt the DNA structure of microorganisms, making them ineffective. In this way, an average of 99.9% disinfection efficiency is obtained.

In order to kill microorganisms with this system, ultraviolet light must hit directly on them. Therefore, before the water enters the Ultraviolet system, the parameters such as sediment and turbidity must be removed from the water. For this, it is recommended to use sand filter or cartridge filter before ultraviolet.
Another issue to be considered in Ultraviolet Systems is to place the final use of the system as close as possible. In addition, the water coming out of the system should not enter a separate unit open to the atmosphere and should be used without waiting. For periodic maintenance to achieve good efficiency in ultraviolet units. Depending on the UV lamp replacement and raw water quality once a year, quartz glass cleaning is performed periodically. If this cleaning should not be done, UV radiation efficiency will decrease and device efficiency will decrease.

ADVANTAGES OF ULTRAVIOLATED SYSTEMS

  • Its application is simple.
  • Disinfection ability is high.
  • It does not create by-products and residues in water.
  • It does not affect the taste of water.
  • There is no corrosive substance formation.
  • It is economical.

DESIGN CRITERIA

  • All designs are designed with 0.9 mm Fiber, assuming that the AKM value is less than 50 mg / l.
  • Production flow rates are for well water of 15 NTU Turbidity 3mg / l DOC. Feed pump capacity will be changed for different turbidity values, so production flow rates will change. Operation and BW times dosage times will be adjusted when the system is activated according to the water analysis.
  • For the selection of chemical dosage pumps, 250 mg / l CaCO3 alkalinity value, 1000 us / cm conductivity, 20 degree water temperature were accepted. Pumps are selected according to ph 2,5 – ph 12.
  • The minimum supply flow and pressure required for all devices are specified in the table.
  • Compact St-37 epoxy painted carbon steel chassis for UF160, 260, 360 series.
  • Track UF chassis for UF460, 660, 860, 1060 series + st-37 epoxy painted carbon steel chassis for surface piping.
  • Gray water will be supplied with SS304 stainless steel compact chassis in Aqualine UF series.
  • It is accepted that UF product water tank will be used for backwash tank in all devices.
  • The required minimum tank volumes are indicated in the table. Stainless steel backwash pumps are included in the price. Product water tank is customer supply.
  • PN10 PVC piping was used in all systems.
  • Automatic valves will have electric actuators.
  • Product water flow meters will be inline type.
